Nearly halfway the Ethiopian-Dutch project CASCAPE a delegation of project members will visit The Netherlands. The CASCAPE project team will elaborate on their experiences in Ethiopia and discuss with NGOs, private sector representatives, research organizations and policy makers their approach and achievements. You are welcome to participate.

The CASCAPE project, in which the Centre for Development Innovation and Alterra are among the leading project partners, is designed to support the Ethiopian government in developing, evaluating and up-scaling of innovations to increase agricultural productivity.

The project is now in its’ second year of testing and major results have been made. Apart from increased productivity through participatory developed innovations the project is particularly successful in mobilizing its stakeholders. Each season more than 50 field days are organized, where each field day typically receives more than 40 farmers and ample attention from local media (TV, radio, press).
