  • Cambridge Proficiency

Classes take place on the Wageningen University & Research Campus, in the Forum building.

Target group

The Cambridge courses are suitable for anyone who needs to speak English at a professional level, such as students and teachers involved in English-language degree programmes.

  2. Cambridge First: B2
  3. Cambridge Advanced: C1

Course content

The courses focus on functional language use and developing all language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking.

The reading texts are taken from sources, such as newspapers, information leaflets, letters and magazines. Writing assignments cover formal and informal letters, brochures, articles, memos and reports. The listening and speaking tasks are equally varied and are based on current events and everyday situations.

The course consists of 16 2-hour classes. You should expect to spend 2 to 4 hours on homework each week.

These courses are offered in February and September each year. The next round of courses start in September 2018.

Your employer will pay for the exam.

If you attended 80% of the lessons, you are eligible for a Certificate of Attendance.
