Students learn how to design, plan, carry out, analyse and present ecological field and labresearch projects. The emphasis is on the formulation of a challenging and testable hypothesis, the experimental design, and the appropriate choice and application of statistical techniques for ecological data analysis.
Students will carry out their own field research project, combining experimental and correlativestudies, based on a prior written research proposal. These research projects are hypothesis-driven, and serve as a good preparation for the MSc thesis projects.
The main target student groups (restricted optional) are students from MFN, complemented with students from other programmes (e.g., MBI, MAS, MES, MIL).
