FNP is currently researching the institutional structures and processes of Natura 2000 implementation at different policy levels over time in order to understand its policy-relevant effects and the effects for forest management and conservation.
This research takes place in a EU funded project called BeFoFu - Beech forest for the Future. The research focusses on multilevel governance and European nature policy in various European countries. It has an eye for policy dynamics. It departs from an interpretative approach with qualitative methodologies. It wants to contribute to critical discussions on biodiversity.
