From the plate to the city

How to enable all citizens to gain to access to sustainable quality food? How to reduce food wastage at home, in supermarkets, in canteens and in restaurants?
Two projects, GreenCook and Sustainable Food in Urban Communities, are both addressing these questions and have joined forces. There aim is to build strategies for more efficient local, regional and European food policies.

Sustainable Food in Urban Communities

On 5 February 2014 there will be a workshop open to other cities and interested parties engaging in urban sustainable food strategies. The event will address all 3 themes - Growing, Delivering & Enjoying - and the concrete experiences shared to date in the network.

The event will take place in English only and the number of participants is limited.

On 6 February 2014, the 3rd and final GreenCook event where results from pilot projects and actions to defeat food waste will be shared. Wageningen UR Food & Biobased Research is one of the partners in the GreenCook partnership.  

During the GreenCook event English, French and Dutch interpretation will be provided.
