HighTech Europe - European network for integrating novel technologies for food processing
The EU project HighTech Europe is an initiative of European research organisations, industrial federations and enterprises with the aim to strengthen the innovation power of the European food processing industry by the formation of a Network of Excellence (NoE) and the development of several tools that facilitate the access of industry to innovative knowledge and research infrastructure. In addition, the different scenarios for the establishment of a European Institute for Food Processing were investigated.
The project was finalized in 2014, but some of the tools that were developed are still active. One example is the FOOD-TIP, a smart search machine aimed at SME’s to provide access to the most recent scientific findings in food processing technologies. This database also contains data on the available research infrastructure and expertise in Europe. For further information please contact the expert.
