Keeping dairy cows healthy is one of the most important tasks in dairy farming. Clinically or subclinically ill dairy cows produce less and are costly in terms of time and money. Preventive measures that help to reduce the incidence of metabolic and infectious diseases help to improve dairy cow welfare, performance and longevity – starting with optimal nutrition.
During the International Dairy Nutrition Symposium 2015, seven experts from the Netherlands and abroad have presented their vision on different aspects of dairy cow nutrition in relation with animal health, on Thursday 22 October 2015 in Wageningen, The Netherlands.
