VHHs (or Nanobodies®) are small monoclonal recombinant antibody fragments with full antigen binding capacity. They can be used for research or diagnostic applications similar to conventional mouse monoclonal antibodies.
Wageningen Bioveterinary Research has isolated many such VHHs and is willing to make these available to others. Most of these are directed against veterinary infectious agents, especially foot-and-mouth disease virus and influenza A virus. Please visit an overview list for information on properties of available VHHs and references and an overview list for information on VHH-based double-antibody-sandwich ELISAs that can be used for antigen quantification or serology. Please contact Dr. M. Harmsen for further information.
