Wageningen University Professors during the opening of the academic year 2009

Opening Academic Year 2013/2014

The global demand for agricultural products, especially for animal proteins, is expected to double in the next thirty to forty years. This offers the food and agriculture business growth opportunities. But there are major challenges, too. The impact of food production on natural resources and the environment will have to be reduced. Producing 'more with less' requires responsible growth.
