Publication: Gene-environment and protein degradation signatures characterize genomic and phenotypic diversity in wild Caenorhabditis elegans populations

Researchers from the Universities of Wageningen, Kiel and Ghent showed that the frequently used lab line Bristol N2 of nematode C. elegans is a genetic outlier. Wild populations of this worm on the other hand provide a treasure trove of genotype-phenotype relations that will greatly enhance future research in this model organism.
