After obtaining her bachelor's in Biotechnology at the Agricultural University of Athens, Ioanna decided to continue her master's studies at Wageningen University in the field of Food Safety.
During the first year of my studies I found courses, such as Food Law, Risk Assessment of Foods and Food Safety Management very interesting. All courses cover current aspects and hot issues in food safety. The way of teaching is unique and modern, with the lecturers being really accessible and eager to help students understand in depth the discussed topics.
Currently, I am finishing my Thesis in Food Law, regarding novel foods. I am attracted by the regulation of food and food safety globally. Additionally, I am going to conduct my Internship at the same field as well. I am more than satisfied with the academic level of the programme, with the theoretical background and the practical knowledge it provides.
Apart from the above, studying in an international environment has expanded my horizons. It is of vital importance that students from different corners of the world interact with each other, giving the unique opportunity of exploring unknown cultures and civilizations, as well as exchanging ideas concerning knowledge and experiences.
