As part of my MSc in Molecular Life Sciences at Wageningen University I made my thesis at the Nematology department.

Under the supervision of Jose Lozano I tried to show an interaction between PR-1 and other plant proteins. Jose managed to be patient and supportive while pushing me to develop my abilities to analyse my results and conduct my research in an organized way. He also taught me many lessons about life in the sciences for which I will always be grateful. Working at the Nematology department was both challenging and fun. It was very gratifying to work on my own project and do so in the context of cutting-edge research, with such an intelligent and dedicated group of people. Specially the members of the spit-lab, who were always kind to me, helped me when I needed guidance and made me feel at home.

At the end of my time there I can say I am happy to have been part of the Nematology department and that doing my thesis there helped me reinforce my love for research and academia.
