We are pleased to announce that we have found a new date for the WIAS Science Day 2014. The WIAS Science Day takes place on Wednesday April 30, 2014.
It will be held in the Orion building at Wageningen Campus.
During this day, PhD students of our graduate school will present their research results as oral or poster presentations during two parallel sessions. We are currently searching and selecting keynote speakers who will give motivating talks that fit within our theme: Broaden your Horizon!
The student with the best oral presentation and best poster presentation will be awarded a prize. Furthermore, a travel grant will be awarded by the NZV (Nederlandse Zoötechnische Vereniging). More information about this grant and about the application procedure can be found in the attachement.
Attendance to the day is free and includes lunch and drinks. At the end of the day, we would like to invite all of you for a buffet dinner at the central hall of Zodiac. If you had already registered for the old date, you have to register again. Registration is open until April 11, 2014.
We highly encourage all WIAS PhD students to actively participate in the WIAS Science Day by giving a talk or presenting a poster. You can apply for an oral or poster presentation by completing the attached excel file and e-mail it back to firstname.lastname@example.org. For poster presentations, you only have to fill in the title of your poster and the author(s). For oral presentations, you have to submit an abstract (max. 500 words) and fill in the title of your presentations and the author(s). The deadline for submitting an oral or poster presentation is March 28, 2014.
