Wageningen University has appointed professor Vincenzo Fogliano as Professor of Food Quality and Design, from 1 September. Professor Fogliano, currently Professor of Food Chemistry and Functional Foods at the University of Naples, will succeed Professor Tiny van Boekel. Van Boekel was appointed Director of the Education Institute of Wageningen University.
Vincenzo Fogliano (Naples (I), 1965), graduated cum laude in Chemistry from the University of Rome in 1990. Since that time he has filled various teaching positions in Biochemistry and Food Chemistry at the universities of Rome and Naples. In addition to his position of Professor of Food Chemistry and Functional Foods at the University of Naples ‘Federico II’, Fogliano is currently also the director of CRIAcq, the University of Naples’ interdepartmental research centre for Hydrobiological Resource Management and Aquaculture.
