Randomized controlled trial (RCT) of an agricultural extension program in collaboration with N2Africa and IITA. The study aims to understand micro-level determinants of agricultural adoption and diffusion among rural smallholders in 70 villages in DR Congo, and its consequences for productivity growth. We assess how adoption and diffusion varies with the quality of local institutions and improved access to input markets. Quantitative data are collected through surveys and economic experiments to measure outcome indicators including e.g. technology take-up rate, knowledge diffusion (spread and speed), income, agricultural production.
