Sylvia van Nierop decided to study Plant Pathology and Etymology in Wageningen and graduated in 1995.
Sylvia believed it was an “extremely fun degree” and got a job at the Plant Disease Information Service in Wageningen. After that, she held various other positions. She worked for the chemical company Bayer, for a social advice agency and for the Province of North Holland. She eventually obtained a second degree that allowed her to continue to work as an artistic coach. In this job, she encourages people to sculpt intuitively in order to get closer to themselves and solve personal problems or traumas.
“I have gone through so much spiritual growth, and I would like others to experience this as well.”An interesting career, that’s the first thing you think when you hear Sylvia’s story. But the circle is now complete; from plants into the soil, to hands into the clay.
