Peter Hermens obtained both a Bachelor and a Master in Landscape Architecture and Spatial Planning in Wageningen, and graduated in 2010.
Nowadays, Peter has his own company, Werkend Landschap, and works on several different projects – both in the country as in the city. His expertise includes nature development and water management, but also urban design and urban transformation projects. One of his transformation projects is currently taking place in Enschede, where an old Polaroid factory will be turned into a creative hotspot, with -amongst other things- cultural institutions, offices, a skate park and sports fields.Peter’s job is very diverse: he works in many different places and with different people. Even though he is self-employed, he works together with other people within a broad network that consists of both private individuals and large companies.
“I think it is wonderful that I have gotten the opportunity to think about how the environment in which we live should look – it gives me a lot of energy!”
