I am a master student from Plant Sciences with the specialization of Pathology and Entomology. I worked in the Laboratory of Nematology for seven months with my major thesis project.
I was supervised by Ava Verhoeven and Geert Smant. I was working with the project about effect of JA biosynthesis in A. thaliana and the function of OPDA in defense against M. incognita. I enjoyed a lot during the time I worked in this department. The atmosphere in the Laboratory of Nematology can be both serious and relaxing. People here are serious and precise during academic work. However, during the break, people can chat friendly. I liked the tradition that people brought cake and cookies when there is something can be celebrated. I am very appreciated the help and supervision of my supervisors. The thesis ring supervisor colleagues also helped a lot with my proposal and thesis writing. I learned a lot in this group, not only about the academic knowledge but also the way to get along with colleagues.
