A.B. Singh has attended his Masters in Organic Argiculture at Wageningen University. Read his story here.
Wageningen University, the Mecca of Agricultural knowledge, was my first choice when I was in India. Secondly, European nations were my dream countries. Now I have both choices in my hands with equal balance: on the one hand I am studying at World’s 2nd best ranked University in the field of agriculture and forestry (published in QS ranking May 2013) and on the other hand I have got enjoyment in life.
Since I came to the Netherlands, I gave been miles and miles away from stress, loneliness, sickness, discrimination and other stuff that make me uncomfortable. Dining, partying, hanging out and traveling with friends from all over the globe makes my life more colorful. Personally, I like the culture of the Dutch people for their straightness, transparency, time management and more. In short, we can learn a lot from them besides from our studies. During the weekends and holidays I travel to other places in the Schengen Area! Travelling from the Netherlands to any other place in the Schengen Area is easy and only takes a few hours to the desired destination. This is how I experience the Netherlands.
So, my fellow students, I wish you all the best and I hope to see you in the Netherlands, especially at Wageningen University! The only thing left is to experience it by you and yourself. Last but not least, Dutch language is quite difficult but fun to learn.
