Feeding the world is a wish for many but actually finding the ways to do so from a process perspective was my own. At Wageningen University I found people aiming for the same goals, their special approach on sustainable processes within the food industry caught my eye from the start.
You learn a lot from professors and students that come from all around the globe. Thanks to Wageningen University and its multicultural community I discovered people with different mentalities, ways of working, traditions, and of course a majestic variety of food!
On the academic aspect; courses always reflected current situations and problems that need optimization in the real world. I learned the possibility to use waste streams to extract valuable components for many applications. I also faced the rewarding feeling that comes after many hard working days of lab research by having my first scientific publication.
I will always be thankful for this life experience which got me not only a degree but valuable knowledge, a great job based on clean and sustainable technologies at FeyeCon, and special friends that I will keep for a lifetime.
