Student Management, Economics and Consumer Studies
Prior Education: Business Administration and Agribusiness, HAS University of Applied Sciences Den Bosch
During my final year in Den Bosch I started talking to different people who told me out of experience what kind of added value achieving a Master’s degree has. Therefore it quickly became clear to me that I wanted to continue my studies. During my Bachelor's Business Administration and Agribusiness at the HAS in Den Bosch I took different courses in logistics, marketing, finance and business administration. A super educational period because of the fact that the theory was alternated with the field in a timely manner! Like so, in that time, I among other things I did internships at Zuivelhoeve, Flynth Accountants, Motexion Australia and the Rabobank.
Choice for the Master’s Management, Economics and Consumer Studies
For a Master’s Business Management I orientated myself at the Erasmus University, University Nijenrode and Wageningen University. The ‘research image’ in Wageningen compared to the other universities is what repelled me in first intent. However, the freedom given in compiling your courses and the strong (international) link with the Agro food sector were decisive for me in choosing for Wageningen!
Experience with the Master’s Management, Economics and Consumer Studies
Looking back at the Master’s Management, Economics and Consumers Studies I am very happy with my choice. It has given a lot of depth and taught me how to approach matters through a certain structure. As the program is concerned with the theory a lot I found it important to maintain connection to the field. I did this by writing my thesis for LTO Noord Fondsen and doing an internship at Ahold. In Wageningen a lot of freedom is given to organise certain things for yourself, make use of that!
In short: This was a choice which I have not regretted once.
