Travelling by train from Schiphol Airport to Wageningen

Timetables

Timetables are available at the yellow information boards, electronic overhead signs at the station or at the online journey planner.

Tickets

Tickets can be bought at the yellow ticket machines or at the Service Desk of the railway company (NS) on Schiphol Plaza. The ticket machines are easy to use.

Buy a second class single ticket before getting on the train! A train ticket from Schiphol to Ede-Wageningen train station will cost you approximately € 16 Euro. If, for some reason, you cannot buy a train ticket at the ticket office or ticket machine, inform the train conductor before you get on the train! The conductor will sell you the ticket in the train but at a much higher price than at the ticket office or ticket machine. (The train ticket will then cost you € 65).

Directions

There is no railway station in Wageningen. You need to take the train in the direction Arnhem/Nijmegen and get off the train at railway station Ede-Wageningen. We advise you to check the online journey planner.

You sometimes have to change trains at Utrecht station and take another train in the direction of Arnhem/ Nijmegen. Your final stop is Ede-Wageningen. Ede is the town next to Wageningen. Travel time from Schiphol to Ede-Wageningen is 60-75 minutes. The Dutch Railway Company offers extra services to persons with functional disabilities.

Bus from railway station Ede-Wageningen to Wageningen

From railway station Ede-Wageningen you can take the bus or a taxi to Wageningen. Please note that taxis are expensive. A taxi from Ede-Wageningen railway station to Wageningen costs approx. € 45,00. A bus ticket costs approx. € 2,50. You may buy a single ticket in the bus (they only accept pin) or use your OV-Chipcard. More information about the OV-Chipcard is available online. To get to the Orion building, you can take either bus 84 or 88. Please use the online journey planner.

Travelling by car

Route From Utrecht or Arnhem: From the A12 motorway take the ‘Ede, Bennekom, Wageningen’ exit. Follow signposts to Wageningen, and take the first exit on the first roundabout.

From Nijmegen: From the A50 motorway take the ‘Renkum, Oosterbeek, Wageningen’ exit. Follow signposts to Wageningen, and once you enter Wageningen take a right at the first traffic lights (Diedenweg). At the following traffic lights, go straight on. At the roundabout, take a left (third exit).

From Tiel: From the A15 motorway take the ‘Rhenen’ exit. Follow signposts to Rhenen and then Wageningen. Once you enter Wageningen, take a left at the first traffic lights (Kortenoord Allee). At the following traffic lights, take a right (Nijenoord Allee). Then, take a left at the third traffic lights (Mansholtlaan). At the roundabout, take a left (third exit).
