The Microspectroscopy Research Facility is a well-equipped facility with expertise at the cutting edge of microscopy and spectroscopy.
Wageningen University has allocated permanent staff to the MSC to operate its advanced equipment ensuring a user-friendly infrastructure for visiting researchers. The MSC equipment is used for many essentially different research projects varying from signal transduction pathways in planta to protein folding aspects or detection of fast dynamics in photosysnthesis (see research themes). These different projects have their own requirements in the application of several spectroscopic techniques, which has lead to a wide pool of experience, available for supporting guests from other laboratories. In addition, highly specialized technical staff takes care of continuous maintenance, adaptations for individual experiments and advice for avoiding artifacts and misinterpretation of the experimental data.
