Our tools for sustainable management

To help you answer your questions about reaching your sustainability goals, we use the sustainable management cycle to determine in which step or steps action is necessary.

For each step we have a wide range of models and tools available.

Impact Evaluation

In an integrated sustainability impact evaluation we compare the economic, societal and environmental impacts of a range of development policies, strategies, projects, products and services. Read more on the Impact Evaluations page.

Life cycle assessment (LCA)

A life cycle assessment is a method to determine the total environmental impact of a product during its entire lifecycle starting from the extraction of raw materials until the product has been consumed or processed as waste. Read more on the LCA page.

The Sustainability Consortium (TSC)

The Sustainability Consortium (TSC) is a one-stop-shop solution for retailers and suppliers with sustainability toolkits for 141 consumer product categories. Its sustainability assessment system focuses on the full lifecycle and on all sustainability themes in global consumer product supply chains. The approach consists out of six steps, which result in an sustainability improvement plan.

Social Innovation Approach

Direct interaction between stakeholders is considered critical for understanding and influencing the likelihood of behavioural change. Policy interventions that pursue improved sustainability or more inclusiveness need to overcome social behaviour dilemmas. Read more on the Stakeholder interaction for social innovation page.

Sustainable monitoring

The regular market economy does not incorporate information on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, non-renewable resources, natural capital and inclusiveness. We do offer tools to provide direct insights into the current gaps between market-based outcomes and more sustainable and inclusive target results at macro and micro level.
