Climate action
Climate action is a major global challenge, both in terms of mitigation (lowering CO2 emissions) and adaptation to existing or future threats such as flooding and heat events. The cluster focuses on the following three subtopics:
- Urban Climate is about designing urban environments so that adverse effects of climate change are mitigated..
- Water is about the design, planning and implementation of interventions in large river systems and coastal areas..
- Energy Transitions is about the spatial implications of renewable energy solutions.
