Our chair group is involved in, and organizer of, several workshops and training programs for PhD students, research staff and professionals. These workshops are closely connected to our research fields.
Fish Immunology Workshop, April 25-29, 2021
The objective of this annual workshop is to provide participants with advanced knowledge, both theoretical and practical, on different aspects of the immune system of fish. The workshops are characterised by one hour presentations given by experienced lecturers, taking time to thoroughly introduce each subject. The workshop is always planned for late April/beginning of May.
Fish Nutrition: Interaction with Aquaculture system and Water Quality, October 17-21, 2021
This workshop helps participants to gain solid knowledge on fish nutrition, physiology and feeding and the effect on fish health. The fish nutrition workshop is anticipated for 2021 from 17-21 October.
Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) Course
During this workshop participants gain an understanding of the types and principles of Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) the advantages and necessary conditions for the optimal use / operation of RAS and the ongoing research to increase the efficiency and nutrient use of RAS. The workshop was organised for the last time in 2019 as part of AquaExcel training and is anticipated for 2022.
AFI PhD Knowledge Exchange Programme
The Knowledge Exchange Programme is an opportunity for AFI PhD candidates to exchange knowledge and to expand their network. It was a chance for our group to stimulate collaborations with for example Japanese (2016) and Chinese (2019) colleagues.
