Salary, collective labour agreement and tailor-made conditions of employment

When it comes to employment conditions, you are at the right place at Wageningen University & Research. As an employee, you will be given the opportunity to make individual choices for employment conditions that will match your specific needs in a certain life or career phase.

Remuneration

A challenging job goes hand-in-hand with excellent remuneration. We offer, besides a market-based salary, good study- and sabbatical arrangements that include parental leave and a pension plan through ABP Pension Fund.

Collective Labour Agreement

Due to the structure of the organisation, Wageningen University & Research has two different Collective Labour Agreements, which differ in parts but are essentially equivalent.

Tailor-made condition of employment

Wageningen University & Research uses a so-called cafeteria model, that we call Optare, which makes it possible for you to vary your conditions of employment.

This could allow you, for example, to exchange money or time for taking a study leave or to participate in the bicycle plan. You can save up for a sabbatical leave, extra parental leave or extra salary. You decide yourself what suits your needs best at a given point in time.

Flexible working hours

Wageningen University & Research works on the quality of life. We think that it is thus essential to find a healthy balance between work and private life. Depending on the function and place of work, this is made possible through flexible working hours, working part time, working from home or the possibility to take sabbatical leave.

Insurance

At WUR, there are various options for insurance such as collective health insurance, accident insurance or collective travel insurance, but also insurances where the partner receives a monthly benefit payment following the insured person's death.

Working at WUR with a functional impairment

Wageningen University & Research builds an inclusive organisation on all fronts: and this includes employees with an functional impairment. This approach concerns sustainable deployment. WUR currently employs staff members with an impairment in a wide range of positions.

Personal development

Wageningen University & Research believes it is important that its employees continuously develop. That is why we invest in our employees.
