Many students are interested in a wide range of topics. Doing a minor gives you the opportunity to either broaden or deapen your knowledge in a certain field. Exchange students from partner universities have the possibility to follow a minor at Wageningen University & Research. Minors consist of a set of courses with coherence and profundity, amounting to 24 ECTS. Minors are scheduled in either the first or the second semester of the academic year. If you need more ECTS than the minor offers, you can simply add another course to a minor.

For more information about minors go to this link (please check the language table to see if your preferred minor will be taught in English).

Please note: some minors include 'max. courses' (courses with a maximum amount of participants) meaning students taking the course in their regular programme have priority over exchange students and other students taking the course in their free choice. We do not recommend max. courses to exchange students.

Following a minor or becoming a ‘bijvak’ or contract student is still possible for students from Dutch universities or universities of applied sciences (hbo).
