Nutrition Disparity Network (NDN)

Nutrition is a multi-faceted part of our lives that reflects the interaction of multiple factors across the lifespan. Given this complexity, the reduction of growing nutrition-related health disparities and inequities requires a better understanding of the interplay between individual and environmental factors involved in eating behaviours. Nutrition equity also requires coordinated intersectoral efforts to ensure that research results in actionable knowledge that is reflected in local and national health promotion policies and programs.

To address this complex issue, the Nutrition Disparity Network (NDN) brings together a consortium of researchers, policymakers, professionals, and community groups to share their expertise, experience, and resources. The network aims to promote healthy nutrition in the Netherlands (and abroad) by understanding disparities in dietary habits and directing attention to early stages in life for those who can benefit most from health promotion initiatives
