Altamira Information

The ALTAMIRA team brings together more than 25 staff with wide technical and scientific experience, strong skills in project management at a European level and a good working knowledge of the structures and procedures of international organisations. ALTAMIRA provides four complementary types of products: (i) Studies and consultancy in space imagery and information products; (ii) Production of mapping products; (iii) Provision of customised services, and (iv) Distribution of space images and of DIAPASON interferometry processing software.

ALTAMIRA has specific expertise in the application of Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) especially in the field of Interferometric SAR for the monitoring of ground displacements, DEM generation and change detection. Its services are provided using its own advanced InSAR software: the Stable Point Network processing chain. Since 2009, ALTAMIRA has been the Coordinator of the European Space Agency’s GSE Terrafirma project. ALTAMIRA INFORMATION is a part of CLS Group, world leader in marine application. Staff involved

Alain Arnaud

Dr. Alain Arnaud, CEO of Altamira Information, obtained his PhD in Computer Science from ENSEEIHT - Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Electronique, Electrotechnique, Informatique et Hydraulique de Toulouse (France) in 1997. Prior to this, he received a degree in Engineering from the Ecole Polytechnique (X89) and a Masters degree from the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse – INPT (France). He has 17 years of experience in the remote sensing field and is specialized in SAR interferometry. He served as technical officer for SAR projects at the French Space Agency (CNES) and the European Space Agency (ESA). He had developed ground motion detection for clients from several areas of interest: infrastructures, mining, oil and gas, insurance, environment, natural hazards, as well as space and research. Altamira Information is also responsible for the development and ongoing maintenance of the “Stable Points Network” PS-InSAR chain, which belongs to the company. 

Fifamè N. Koudogbo

Dr. Fifamè N. Koudogbo, Project Manager for the BIOSOS project, graduated in Electronics-Microwave from the University of Toulouse (France). Her PhD topic, defined in a collaboration between the University of Toulouse and the Electromagnetics and Radar Department of ONERA, dealt with the modeling of the backscattering from natural and artificial surfaces and the analysis of the interactions between a rough surface and a target above it. During the same period, she participated to projects conceiving radar for driving and/or landing assistance. In 2004, she joined the High Frequencies Institute (HR) of the German Aerospace center (DLR) where she worked as Post doctorant Researcher in Polarimetry SAR interferometry for retrieval of vegetation cover characteristic parameters. In 2007 she joined Infoterra GmbH in Friedrichshafen (Germany) as SAR application development engineer and focused on the development of SAR applications based on the use of the TerraSAR-X data. Since January 2009, Fifamè is working at Altamira Information as Research and Development Engineer and Project Manager. 

Oscar Mora

Oscar Mora, Project Manager at Altamira Information, received a degree in electrical engineering in 1997 from the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Enginyeria de Telecomunicació de Barcelona (ETSETB), Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). He joined the Active Remote Sensing Group in 1999 in the field of SAR differential interferometry. In 2001, he was with the Istituto per il Rilevamento Elettromagnetico dell’Ambiente (IREA), Italy. His research was based on the study and development of new orbital SAR differential interferometric techniques for the monitoring of terrain surface displacements, such as the ones produced by volcanoes, earthquakes, or human activities. He received a Ph.D. in electrical engineering in 2004 from the UPC. He joined the Institut Cartogràfic de Catalunya (ICC), Barcelona, Spain, and continued his research activities in the field of SAR interferometry from 2002 to 2007. In October 2007 he joined Altamira Information, as Manager of Earth Observation projects involving new SAR sensors, such as ALOS, Radarsat-2 or TerraSAR-X. He is also a lecturer on SAR Interferometry for the Masters Program in Remote Sensing & GIS at the Centre de Recerca Ecològica i Aplicacions Forestals (CREAF). 

Christine Rauscent

Graduated in Spanish Literature and Civilization from University of Sorbonne in Paris in 2003 and with a commercial and administrative assistant degree, Christine Rauscent has about five years experience in administrative and commercial support. She has worked in Paris and Barcelona and recently joined Altamira Information as sales assistant.
