Information for students about COVID-19
Corona has become an important and not to be underestimated part of our lives, both at home and in our education. On this page, you can find the latest information about COVID-19 and education for current students.
We believe that education on campus is of great importance and we have done everything we can in recent months to organize this safely. Numerous measures have been taken in close consultation with the municipality and the safety region and the RIVM guidelines are the starting point for everything. The campus is therefore a safe learning and working environment at 1.5 meters. But this can only be if everyone, both students and teachers, adheres to the guidelines, on campus as well as at home. Keep your distance, wash your hands often, stay at home and get tested if you have complaints and go to quarantine if the GGD indicates so. Help us with this, for yourself, for your loved ones and for each other.
To help you, we have listed all kinds of information.
What does our education look like?

We try to provide almost all subjects in a blended manner: assignments and activities that are offered online serve as preparation for small-scale, interactive moments on campus. View all 14 design principles on how education will be organized in the 2020-2021 academic year on the website.
- The availability of teachers, room capacity, ventilation capacity and different start times in connection with distribution were taken into account when we made the new course schedule.
- Schedule on TE viewer
- You will also find course-specific information in the Brightspace environment of your courses.

- Excursions and field work in the Netherlands can still continue (while meeting the general rules for social distancing). We are still working on how to handle international excursions in a safe and responsible way. We understand these excursions are great learning experiences and valued very much by students. However, organizing these trips is very complicated in a fast-changing environment, especially internationally. We will inform you as soon as more information becomes available.
- Exchange programmes are cancelled for semester 1 and 2.
- Corona and my education on Brightspace is a page that prepared you for studying online. Information on how to study online is given, you can learn more about the rules for (online) exams and what tools are available to you as a student.
- Not all exams can take place on campus. Therefore, some exams will be on-campus, others will be online or in other formats (such as an essay). If exams are on-campus, there will be an online alternative for those students who cannot come to the campus. It’s up to the teacher to decide which form of examination is most appropriate for the course.
- It is possible to come to the campus for self-study. You need to reserve your study spaces (including those in the Forum library) in advance through TimeEdit.

When you come to campus

Despite the limited capacity on campus, we look forward to seeing you there. It is important that you adhere to national and local regulations, both on campus and at home. This includes wearing a face mask whenever you move through any building on campus. Be wise and keep your distance, avoid crowds, visit the supermarket alone and be careful when visiting your (grand) parents. Keep an eye on the updates, these measures are adjusted from time to time.

Support

We try to meet all students as best we can and where possible to offer support with their problems. These problems are often very diverse and specific, making a one-size-fits-all solution ineffective. But support is available, and we ask that you get in touch if you need any help or support.
