Fruit and vegetable taste panels
Healthy and tasty fruits and vegetables can improve your appetite! The scientists of business unit Greenhouse Horticulture of Wageningen University & Research measure the flavour levels of fruits and vegetables with a consumer panel, trained sensory panel and with measurements in the laboratory.
Visual assessment of flowers
Flavour is important, but consumers initially base their choice to buy a product on appearance. Our consumer panel can therefore also be used to assess the visual aspects of products.
Flavour models
Flavour models have been developed by the experts of business unit Greenhouse Horticulture of Wageningen University & Research to quickly screen the flavour level of fruits. So far flavour models have been developed for tomato, strawberry, bell pepper and Galia melon.
