Science for impact

Governance is a fuzzy concept. Public managers however use it frequently. It encompasses a large number of different types of coordination between governments and citizens, companies, NGOs and other public institutions. Many scholars from Wageningen University experiment with governance. They develop governance arrangements, assist and advise local officials with governance activities, and evaluate governance processes.

Wageningen scholars are pioneers in assisting public organizations that are confronted with complex problems involving a great number of stakeholders. They have been involved in developing sustainable agriculture, water management, spatial planning, nature conservation projects, forest conservation projects, and climate change induced issues. We offer our expertise in these fields of governance.
