Confidential advice

Besides organizing a suit of activities WIMEK also offers its members the possibility of confidential advice when they are confronted with work-related challenges. This applies to PhD's and postdocs; but also for supervisors that want to spar with WIMEK about supervision challenges.

When you would want such support please contact Peter Vermeulen or Elackiya Sithamparanathan.

If you already know you want to contact a confidential advisor or Occupational social worker, you can find their contact details by following the links in the Help portal; or contact Peter or Elackiya so they can refer you to the person responsible for requests coming from your chair group and/or department.

A general description with all the support that is available can be found at the general help and support website. Also interesting: series of items regarding PhD well-being on WUR intranet:

Note that every PhD student should also have a general practitioner outside of WUR. They can be also contacted for (mental) health issues. You can find more information about general practitioners in Wageningen and how to register with them here.
