Soils in danger: Europe fights back
With around 70 per cent of Europe’s soils in poor health, the European Union has launched the EU Soil Mission ‘A Soil Deal for Europe’ to reverse this deterioration. It’s the first time that soils have achieved such political importance across the EU. Together with various individuals working towards the goal of soil regeneration, Rachel Creamer (SBL) explains diverse approaches to soil health, and how they are adapted to the enormous diversity of geological and climatic conditions across Europe.
