Here we provide a list of courses and workshops provided and organised by the Soil Science cluster.

COURSES ANNOUNCEMENT:

  • 7th-13th May 2024 - We still have a few spot left for our PhD course on Resource Use Efficiency in agriculture. We will focus on nitrogen and water across scales; plant/soil, field, farm. Speakers include Katrin Descheemaeker, Florian Wichern, Gerlinde De Deyn, Francisco Pinto, Franca Bongers. In addition, a lot of room for exchange of ideas and creativity.   • 4th-6th September 2024 - Next edition of the Soil Biology Lab Skills Course For Assessing Soil Functions. For info and registration click here. Registrations will open in the end of January.
  • 14th-20th September 2024 - PhD course 'Grounding carbon farming'. The first edition will be held on a dairy farm in France. This is an all-included, immersive course where fundamental issues around carbon sequestration in agricultural lands are treated from different perspectives, including that of farmers. Highly relevant to anyone working from close or far with soil carbon and land-based climate change mitigation, from biological, environmental, social, or economic perspectives!
