Tomato quality: the effects of nutrient composition in combination with different light regimes

It is known that increasing the electro conductivity of the nutrient solution generally lead to more tasty fruit, however, disadvantages also shown as yield decreases and fruit disorders. High light level could also leads to better quality fruit according to previous research. It is hypothesis the combination of a moderately higher EC and increased light levels will improve quality of fruit without compromising the yield. Development of the crop, physiological parameters (photosynthesis), fruit yield, fruit quality aspects (sugar, taste, phytonutrients, aroma volatiles) and postharvest performance will be monitored.
