Specialisation Process Technology

Focus on engineering strategies for enhancing or improving production in fermentation, bioconversion and enzymatic synthesis or degradation. The whole track, from the development of a process on laboratory scale until the application at a large scale, can be studied in this specialisation. Knowledge and skills from this specialisation can be applied in food biotechnology, medicine and vaccine development as well as in environmental and biobased technology.

Students will follow one year of courses, some compulsory and other optional. In the second year of the MSc students will perform 2 research projects: major thesis and internship or 2nd thesis.
