Grouse Mountain

This is the view from Grouse Mountain (North Vancouver) on the city of Vancouver. We hiked to the highest peak, which was quite hard. The Grouse Grind trail is notorious for its steepness and level of experience required. The trail entails 3000 steps in 3 km, with an elevation of 1200 meters! So you can image that we were quite beaten up when we arrived at the top. However, the view made the hike more than worth it.

It was a beautiful sunny day and we could even see the American border. It was the perfect day to be active and explore Vancouver and its surroundings. Every time we explore the city, I am amazed: what a great city to live in!
