Trip to Lucerne

This weekend, I went to Lucerne with two new friends: Julie and Florion. Lucerne is a city in north-central Switzerland in the German-speaking area, and the most popular destination for tourists. Wandering in the streets of the city center, I think I know why.

In Lucerne, you can feel the history of city from the well-decorated fountains, the old paintings on the walls, and the exquisite statures you happened to see in every corner of the town. Of course, you can never miss the famous landmarks, the Chapel Bridge (Kapellbrücke), a wooden bridge first erected in the 14th century. Other sights here are also worth visiting, the saddest Lion Monument, unique Needle Dam, the Water Tower and Gothic Franciscan Church. I also tried the most traditional Swiss dish here, Rosti- ham, cheese with coarsely grated potato. Well, well, cheese fondue is already on my favourites list.
