Christmas break

Since many Erasmus students left Valencia to spend the holidays with their families, I decided to do the same thing. I flew back home to spend Christmas with my family. I also took advantage of the opportunity of being in the Netherlands by going to a festival with my friends, visiting Wageningen, and getting the ‘winter’ feeling when the first snow fell down!

The days flew by very fast and it was time to head back to Valencia already! Since one of my friends studies in Barcelona for her internship, we decided to celebrate New Years’ Eve together in Barcelona.

We gathered with her friends at the main square and traditionally we ate twelve grapes; one at every second counting down towards the New Year (quite a challenge!), accompanied by a glass of cava.

It was very nice to celebrate the New Year in this city with so many people gathering around the main squares and at Las Ramblas!

The next two days we did some sightseeing while enjoying the lovely Spanish weather, we sure missed this back in Holland! After this short Christmas break, I noticed that time really flies, and I have two more months left to enjoy this great experience and make the most of my time left in Spain!
