I am an Assistant Professor at Farm Technology Group in Wageningen University and Research. My specialization is in computational imaging and I am applying my knowledge in applications related to computer vision in agricultural applications. I am interested in exploring the use of hyperspectral and multispectral imaging for plants phenotyping, disease detection and moritoring of plants. Spectral imaging has a huge potential in agricultural applications but its use is limited due to the need for specific conditions during data acquisition. One of the conditions is a change in illumination and my research focuses on methods to deal with this change. I am using the knowledge from color science and spectral image processing for achieving this objective.

I am superviding students at BSc, MSc and PhD level. I am also involved in teaching the courses of Sensing & Perception, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Research Methods.

My PhD is from Norwegian University of Science and Technology, NTNU i Gjøvik, and Université Bourgogne Franche-Comté, Dijon, France. My research focused on multispectral constancy for Illuminant invariant representation of multispectral images. I completed Masters in "Signals & Image Processing", and Bachelors in Electrical Engineering My area of Interest are spectral analysis, multispectral and hyperspectral image processing, computational color constancy, machine learning and color science. I have experience in Research & Development projects related to digital image processing and machine learning which include Development of Robust Stegenography Algorithm, Key-Word based word spotting in Urdu documents, Pavement Cracks detection and Saliency based Visualization of Hyperspectral Images. I also have experience in GSM level-1 system, microwave system, generators and control system of generators, team management and maintaining KPIs by utilizing the available resources.
