Piabuo is an Environmental Economist with a research and development interest in Natural resource-based enterprise development, green growth, industrialization, sustainable development, climate finance, and economics of ecosystem services.

Piabuo joined the Forest and Nature Conservation Policy Group as an external Ph.D. candidate in early 2018 and studies how viable community forest enterprises can be developed building on the case study of Cameroon. He holds a double masters in Applied Economics from the University of Yaounde II (Cameroon) and in Economic and financial engineering from the University of Rennes 1 (France). Over the past 6 years, Piabuo has been working on enterprise development and landscape management in Cameroon, Benin. Since 2022, he is currently working with the World Bank as a consultant as an Environmental Economist on issues related to landscape restoration, green growth, and sustainable development issues in Central Asia.
