Mohammadreza (Reza) holds a Ph.D. degree in Educational Technology. His primary research interest is directed toward identifying optimal instructional design models when leveraging new technologies (e.g., simulations, animations, online platforms, and games) in learning environments to improve disciplinary and interdisciplinary knowledge and skills.

In his current position as an Educational Researcher at Education and Learning Sciences (ELS) group at Wageningen University and Research (WUR), he is working on a project that aims to foster higher education students' opportunity identification capability. In addition to conducting several conceptual studies concerning opportunity identification capability, he has designed and developed a theory and research-driven online brainstorming platform that supports students' opportunity identification capability and helps them improve their creative and critical thinking skills in the entrepreneurship context and thus their entrepreneurial mindsets.

He is also highly committed to providing non-profit social services in the education field. He is a reviewer for several ISI-indexed journals such as "Computers and Education" and "Innovation in education and teaching international" and he is a Review Editor on the Editorial Board of Educational Psychology (specialty section of Frontiers in Psychology and Frontiers in Education). He is currently a coordinator of the ICT and Education course at ICO and a member of different educational and entrepreneurship research organizations such as ERLI, AERA, ISLS, and ECSB (European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship).

He is also an Academic Lecturer at the Business, Management, and Organization (BMO) group at WUR and involves in several courses as a lecturer and coach.
