Climate Projects & Communications Manager

I am a project coordinator and communications manager in the field of climate change & adaptation, sustainability, landuse & water, and work in the Climate Resilience team of Wageningen Environmental Research. I hold a MSc degree on Soil Science from Wageningen University, and I've been working since 2007 in the environmental department of this institute. In my spare time, I contribute to citizens groups in the city of Amersfoort as co-worker, chair or social innovator, and in that regard I was appointed as ambassador for the EU Climate Pact.

Recently, I co-organized the European Climate Change Adaptation Conference (ECCA 2021), and for a long time I've been carrying out activities for the EcoShape programme Building with Nature, Joint Programming Initiative on Climate (JPI Climate), Copernicus Climate Change Services projects, Climate ADAPT (European Environment Agency); and working on many other adaptation, smart agriculture, carbon & urban platforms. In the past I contributed to the Kennis voor Klimaat Research Programme, Delta Alliance Foundation, and projects funded by the EU to assess climate impacts and water stress in Europe, the Carpathian, Himalayas & Amazonian area.

As a project manager I am involved in climate information platforms & climate services, and organizing users session to indentify their needs. As a web manager, I coordinate dozens of websites, LinkedIN Groups, Twitter accounts and newsletters, and contribute to video and storytelling scripts, and infograpics. On a frequent basis, I organize a workshop or a conference, or contribute to books and magazines.
