I am a researcher who is passionate about research that builds bridges between ecological, technological and spatial disciplines on the interface of science and practice. I am a methodological and systemic thinker who aims to support practitioners such as policy makers, resource managers and planning and design professionals in making informed decisions and choosing appropriate, site-specific interventions in (urban) environments. I am an eager and engaged researcher who enjoys writing, presenting and visualizing results and collaborating with others for a more sustainable (urban) living environment.

My research is focused on urban and regional strategies for climate adaptation and circularity and on the implementation of Nature Based Solutions (NBS) for urban climate adaptation and resource management. The common denominator of my work is that it is based on integral, multi-scale and spatially explicit research, anchored in the local landscape, and that it integrates knowledge from various disciplines and stakeholders.
