Mr. Eric Asamoah is an experienced and highly remarkable Soil Scientist from Ghana. His prior experiences and areas of expertise follow by Soil, environmental, and climatic resources inventories, land evaluation, agro-ecology, and land-use planning for agricultural development, GIS spatial analysis, and database development and management, producing thematic map, implementing geospatial applications and modeling, machine learning for digital soil mapping, satellite image processing and classification, natural resource management, fertilizer systems research and environmental modelling. Mr. Asamoah holds an M.Phil. degree in Soil Health and Environmental Resources Management and holds a BSc. in Geomatic Engineering. He has unique experience in the use of open-source GIS software such as QGIS, working with R statistic software, python programming language, and moreover, he is well experienced in working in Africa. Mr. Asamoah worked as a Soil Scientist and GIS / Remote Sensing Applications Specialist for the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research - Soil Research Institute (CSIR-SRI), Ghana. He has also worked as a Land evaluation expert, environmental modeling expert, and foremost positions throughout his career. Mr. Asamoah is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in fertilizer systems research, using machine learning for predicting crop yields in Ghana. Mr. Asamoah has several publications as well as he has participated in different workshops, seminars, and conferences regarding the issues of sustainable land management, fertilizer systems research, remote sensing applications in agriculture, and machine learning applications in agriculture.
