De Natuurkalender, Nature’s Calendar, is a Dutch phenological monitoring network. Phenology is the study of the timing of life cycle events like the start of flowering or insect appearance. The main objective of De Natuurkalender is to monitor, analyse, predict and communicate the timing of life cycle events in relation with climate change. Over 8.000 volunteers and school children make observations for De Natuurkalender and thus contribute to research on the effects of weather and climate to Dutch nature.
In March 2008 de website Natuurbericht.nl was started. On 26 november 2015 Natuurbericht.nl became Naturetoday.com. Biologists of several nature organisations bring daily news from nature on this website. Bron is a member of the editorial board of NatureToday.com en writes news items herself. Besides that she is one of the final editors of the website.
