BK (Bipul) Dey

Bipul was born in Bangladesh. From Bangladesh, he received his secondary, higher secondary, BSc (Fisheries), and first MSc (Fisheries) degrees. Then, in 2015, he received a scholarship (VLIR-UOS) for an MSc in Aquaculture, which he successfully finished in 2017. This was done at Ghent University in Belgium. He spent time between 2012 and 2015 working as a "Data Enumerator" and "Personal Research Assistant" for WorldFish-Bangladesh. He also spent time between 2012 and 2015 working as a "Live Feed Culturist" for a shrimp hatchery. Research in the fields of aquaculture and fishing is something he is very interested in. With assistance from WorldFish, De Heus, and Wageningen University and Research (the Netherlands), he began his PhD in the field of aquaculture and fish nutrition in March 2020.
