Academic Teacher and Researcher

I have completed my bachelor and master degrees cum laude in Cellular and Molecular Biology at the University of Bari (Italy) where I also obtained my PhD in Cellular and Molecular Physiology and Biotechnologies in 2013. In the October of the same year, I moved to The Netherlands where I joined the Department of Physiology at the Radboudumc as postdoc and worked on the physiological role of the Succinate Receptor 1 (SUCNR1) in the kidney until August 2017. Starting from August 2019, I joined the group of Prof. Jaap Keijer as academic teacher and researcher at the University of Wageningen. In my new job as teacher, my goal is to positively influence students by showing them their value as individuals and inspire them to always strive for improvement. I want to show them that science can be fun, interesting and fascinating. I want them to develop criticism, creative thinking and problem-solving skills by challenging their curiosity. I wish to instill a passion for learning within my students while providing them with an encouraging and positive educational environment. I hope to provide them with the skills and tools necessary for their academic growth and the confidence to embrace their dreams and make it a reality.
